The Game Server Browser is a total mess.

Having relied on this feature for years now (and it being one of the main points of convenience of Steam for me), I can say that it's barely usable now.

List of striking issues:

The browser itself:
- Sizing of buttons and the list itself is way too big at 100% scale.
- There is no Minimize button in the title bar, though the window can be minimized by pressing Win+Down on Windows, or clicking the panel icon again on most Linux DEs.
- No longer shows total number of servers in the list.
- There is no longer an option to ping a server that's not in the list. (previously called "Add server by IP address")
- Adding a server to favorites does nothing and throws an exception.
- The "View server info" and "Connect to server" context menu items are now swapped places (I keep connecting to servers I don't mean to because of this...)
- The game selection dropdown has a transparent scrollbar.
- User always has to click the "search" icon next to that dropdown to initiate search. Why? Why not just doing it automatically as soon as the game is selected?

The Game Info window:
- For at least some games (like Half-Life), the Game name field doubles the Server name.
- The scrollbar appears to be misaligned.
- Player list appears to have no particular sorting: it's not by score, ping, and not even by name. It's no longer possible to sort it manually by clicking column headers.
- The rarely needed Auto-Retry option is displayed at the bottom at all times, even if server has free slots.

I really hope most or all of these issues will get fixed by the time the new UI hits the "stable" channel!

Seconding all of these issues.

The auto-retry is improved now with a drop down menu that let's you set it's behaviour between off/alert/auto-join, but I think it would be better if it was positioned inline with the other buttons at the bottom of the window rather than at the end of the player list.

Adding these:

• The radio menu icon on the selected server looks like it's off centre.
  
• It would be nice if the server browser would remember the most recently used sort when it's opened. i.e. sorting by ping every time you open the browser if that was the last sort used.
