CS:GO crashes upon opening steam overlay

When I press shift+tab to open the steam overlay the game crashes. TF2 works fine though.
OS: Arch Linux 6.2.13-arch1-1

I've been having it crash on achievements popping in CS:GO

This is a CS:GO problem.

Go make a thread on the CS:GO Forum.

That's where all the people who play CS:GO live.

Everything's fine on the stable version of steam so I highly doubt it's a csgo problem

Crashes on Zorin 16.2 as well when opening Steam overlay (Shift+Tab).
Edit: If you disable the oevrlay for CS GO, then the game starts crashing during map loading screen.

Well now we have a bigger problem since the thing is now being shipped as the official Steam version. Additionally CS:GO takes aprox. 3 mins to launch so that's a weird problem. Still on arch linux of course.

Try disabling the Steam Overlay

Steam Settings -> In Game -> The Steam Overlay -> Un-check "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game"

I don't play CS:GO, but the one time a game WAS acting strangely with Steam for me, this fixed it.
