Please add setting to turn off Xbox button Overlay notification

This notification appears on the new UI and takes a while to go away every time a controller is connected. I use Xbox button for game bar.

Xbox Controller Issue
Steam is unable to read the Xbox button of your Xbox controller to open the Overlay or Quick Access Menu from the controller. To fix this please go to "Game Bar Controller Settings" page, choose "Shortcuts" tab and uncheck the first checkbox (on Windows 10) or the first two checkboxes (on Windows 11).

Indeed it's quite distracting, especially if you are using BT connected controller, so every time is turn itself off to save battery (i.e. I leave controller untouched for few minutes) and later I turn controller to play games, this message appear again

Same here. Quite annoying. The worst about it, it's that it's a "pinned" notification, it doesn't go away until you open it and discard the popup.

Definitely, I even have that option turned off, I don't want to use the guide button to open Steam, less I want to be reminded all the time it exists.

Oh yeah this is the worst, having to walk to my computer and click the notification with my mouse.

Same! I don't link Xbox button to Steam either, but it seems that possibility didn't cross Beta developers' minds since they force the notification on us. Hopefully there will be a way to disable it soon.

Started having this problem as soon as I got the new UI too, Anyone found a definitive way to get rid of the popup? I prefer using the guide button for gamebar rather than for steam so the fact it keeps telling me to use it for steam every single time I connect my controller is incredibly annoying.

It seems to disappear after like 60 seconds but it's definitely really annoying...

The pop-up should either auto-dismiss after 6–7 seconds, or have a close/dismiss button that can be clicked. Even better would be for it not to show at all.

At the very least this should be able to be considered a "non-critical" notification that can be disabled.

I play a lot of halo and want the button to open game bar so it is quite annoying to have this notification come up when trying to resolve it would do something i dont want it too

As of yesterday's Beta update this is no longer an issue!

Did it work for you? I tried the beta and the beta sneak peak and I'm still getting that error message.

newer gotten that one. But i got a config sort of popup a few times. And now it just jumps straight into the POS big screen crap.

Yes it worked for me, still on Beta branch here and haven't seen the guide button notification since that update.
