Maybe for you but there's still a pretty active community for skins and if they were to add support it would easily increase that community.
Even if skins pretty much cannot modify the actual library page anymore, they can still remove the stupid bottom border from the window.
Why would I want something wasting so much space for just 3 buttons?
Why would I want any notification (from steam or otherwise!) constantly covering the button to open friend & chat?
I've been using MetroUI for ages, as it solves both of these problems in a perfect way.
Makes sense as they already have other ui related things for sale in the points shop, like boot videos and keyboards.

I would like for some other color options to be available by default though, if they choose to go down that path.
Dark mode, Light mode, Normal mode (what we're already using).
There was already a steam skin for a complete dark mode.
