pop-up when closing steam is annoying

Hi,
when shutting down steam there now is a pop-up window telling me about steam shutting down.
Please remove this or let me turn it off.
I close steam from the taskbar menu, and often steam is already minimized when I click "Exit Steam". It's really strange to then open a window for a few seconds just to tell me about steam exiting.
I get that it's fancy, but I already know steam is shutting down, since I just pressed the button, so just close quietly and don't keep me from doing other stuff.

Second ! , there really should be a toggle or only a very small popup @ very least, now the entire steam window opens up just to close .... not really logical

Seriously. This is the most annoying thing to me. It never did it before the last update. It needs to be fixed.

I could have sworn vgui Steam had a similar pop-up (albeit smaller, less intrusive and likely for a smaller length of time) on shutdown, but I could be wrong as I never used to shut Steam down manually enough for it to register :/

It did. And yes; it closed a lot quicker.

This "feature" change to me is the final nail in the coffin for Steam for me. Look at the UI, it hasn't changed in 10+ years lol.

The most annoying thing that they could come up with. I literally get angry everytime it pops up when I close the app!
Please fix it or give an option to turn it off!

Did the register for comments just to come here. Steam was not usually a thing to me, opened a game like once a month, but to close the app on every restart reminds of just how bad they try to market their app. Annoying pop up on close is the only way I know Steam. Thanks.

Funny thing you cannot close Windows/ shut down Pc when Steam is working in background. There will be message like 'some program is working in background, do you want to close it before shuting down system? ' and of course nothing work when you click yes.

Steam used to be a great program, now they are more and more looking like a damn advertisement.

Its even worse now the whole steam window pops up when exiting.
WTF are they trying to accomplish with this, besides me not wanting to install the program on my computers anymore?
