[Overlay] Family View Parental security code shows up despite overlay being minimised
I run a PIN code on my steam account to stop unwanting people accessing steam community on my account

Games (such as CSGO) can open steam windows using the browser,
and this browser spawns a "ENTER FAMILY VIEW PIN CODE" popup

This popup appears always pinned over the top of the game Im playing

I have to navigate back into the overlay, and close the family view PIN code window to be able to continue playing my game

Thanks for the report. I'm having trouble reproducing this. Can you add some detailed steps on what you're doing to trigger the popup and a screenshot of what it looks like in-game when it happens?

Okay, I did some quick testing

This bug is much more nuanced than I assumed it was
and (I think) is a result of my accidental pressing the "PIN" icon rather than the close icon

I would reclassify this as "unintended behavior for stupid people like me"

=========================================

- Have an account with steam family pin enabled
- Temporarily remove yourself from family mode in the steam library (enter the family pin to restore functionality)
- Open a game like CSGO
- Open the steam overlay
- Open a web browser session
- Close the steam overlay while the browser is open

(At this point, the new overlay remembers you have a browser session enabled between play sessions, but you dont necessarily have to close the game to replicate this bug)

- Navigate / Alt Tab back to your steam library
- Return account to family view (restrict the accounts ability to use community features etc)

- Resume your game
- open the steam overlay again (this time as a restricted person)
- you should now be prompted with a greyed out browser asking to enter a family pin code)

- hit the "sticky pin" icon instead of the "close" button in the top left corner
- exit the steam overlay

- The entire browser is not pinned, only the "return to family view" window is pinned

=========================

Again, im not sure how high priority this is with the new findings, it was just counter intuitive to me, because the entire browser windows didnt remain after closing the overlay

I had this happen 3 times in the last month, I did also notice CSGO automatically opening the browser with "news" about CSGO that I did not initiate which may have increased the likelyhood of me pressing the "Pin" icon

Thanks for taking the time to read my report!
