Steam chat minimize/maximize buttons not working sometimes

Whenever your friend sends a chat message, and Steam automatically opens the chat window, the window minimize and maximize buttons do not work. The exit button works without a problem. However, if you open the chat manually, all of the buttons work.

Went here to report it and found your thread. That's exactly my experience. If I open it manually, it works. But if a friend messaged me, I can't minimize the window.
