if you want old UI back do this
1- right click on the steam icon
2- click on properties
3- on target section put a quote mark (") around the location
for example c: \ programfiles \ steam

like this : "c: \ programfiles \ steam"

4- hit space one time and type -vgui

like this : "c: \ programfiles \ steam" -vgui

5- hit apply
6- open steam again
7- yes you can also update your steam

if works for you please let me and others know
also tell that if you are on windows 10 or 11

For those who may not know the whole steam system is undergoing a complete overhaul which it desperately needed considering it's years of digital decay and multiple errors (patched) which cause issues over time so trying to change back will not help maybe the look but nothing else. Complete overhauls take time and patience.

Actually the only "digital decay", "multiple errors" and issues are caused by the overhaul started in 2018 and only got worsen with the new update.

Anyway, the -vgui parameter will be removed as soon as Valve see is used too much, like they ever did.

works perfect on WIN7 - great help, thx man

I understand you did it for the looks, but for me it also sorted out the issue that I had to type my username each time to login. Old UI does it :D

Double Thx

Worked for me then, had some issues opening up GForce (not working in game anymore) so, I removed it yet, it's still working, bringing back my old screenshot windows and back to taking screenshots of non Steam games in game. Before, the new Steam update screwed my client all up.

Nope - they delete it in next month(s), as almost all useful functions
