Latest Mac beta has illegibly small text on retina display

I just installed the latest Mac Steam client beta (from 10-27-2022 at 10:10:10). When I restarted, all text and UI is tiny - letters are about 7 px high on a 2560x1600 display that the OS is scaling to 1400x900. Looks like the client is not honoring the system scaling, which is pretty weird - never seen that before.

Same here on Arch Linux, 4k resolution.

Same here on Debian, 4K. Menus are ok, but library and store have tiny fonts.

Not sure whether the 2022-10-25 or the 2022-10-27 update borked this.

I'll add my "same issue" too. Mint 20.3 @4k. Is there some file that could be edited to increase the size of everything?
