Finding multiplayer games to play with a friend

Is there a way to sort the library or can there be a way to sort library that includes sorting with multiplayer - coop and also has option to check a friends name and show what only you both have in that category? This question is coming from someone with a larger library to help decide what options are available it would be nice but I might have missed how to do it if its already a thing. TY

No valve doesn't have 1 on 1 comparing with friends list. Only the "Friends who already own" on the game store page.

this has been malfunctioning for me I was hoping they would fix and maybe add more options to it.

There is a filter on the games list page from the Games tab on their profile to sort by games you both own.

But it is for only 1 friend at a time and no other filters.

I am aware of this it doesn't help seeing as many games we both own are single player only

The beta now has a Library filter option to do this...
