Bring Back the Zoom slider for Library Grid View!
I like the DVD shaped thumbnails but I hate that i can only see 12 of them on a 1080 screen, takes so long to scroll through the 120 games i have installed I cant decide what to play. Before we could see 42 thumbnails at once on a 1080 display with the old 460x215 thumbnails. Please Bring Back the zoom slider the old library had!

check settings - library to switch from autosize to medium or small size

Well, a slider certainly would be nice but even without it you can see more than 12 tiles if you set the display size to medium or small in the settings:

(the library settings in the image are lacking some of the latest settings because those screenshots were taken a long time ago)

There is quite a huge difference between small and large, and I personally prefer medium at the moment.
Small on 1080p display: 12 x 5 = 60 tiles.
Medium: 9 x 4 = 36 tiles.
Large: 6 x 2 or 3 = 12 or 18 depending on if you count only full tiles.

Oh Nice one thank you! I had no idea this was hidden away.

Well, I guess compared to the old slider it might feel it's hidden away but I don't think it's too hard to find if you take a look at the settings. There have been some users who have had trouble with finding their hidden games or music and those both are directly under View menu so it kind of becomes easy to assume that some users simply don't bother looking very hard when things aren't where they used to be.

I see your point but I hope valve don't assume that in most cases otherwise whats the point in community feedback if that's what they'll think, the best opinions often come from a first time user, I'm fine with them hiding features away that are less used but I still want the slider back where it was because I use it often and had more scaling options.

It just seems more logical to have it where it used to be, its not like something has taken its place, its just a blank space now. I like to adjust the thumbnail scale on the fly depending on whether I'm sitting back on the sofa or at the desk, lots of file browsing software's have a thumbnail scale slider or respond to the universal windows command CTRL+MouseWheel-FWD/BK to zoom. Good UI design is all about ease-of-access and in some cases familiarity like with hotkeys. The question is, is 'settings' really the best place for thumbnail scaling?

On 4k it's 11 x 25
