Steam: CleanUp All Uninstalled Game files
So after finding out that BEAMNG had put a virus on my PC i uninstalled and cleaned it out, few weeks later im finding remnants of BeamNG still that shouldnt be there if i uninstalled the game but for some reason steam didnt remove the documents folder or barely anything from beam, just removed its exe and runtime files and leaving all that bloat behind.

Steam when i uninstall a program useing your service I Expect that the Game and everything attached to it is removed, Not just the run files.

In the next updated please atleast add an option to remove all connected game files from the pc so we dont have to manually hunt down and find these files, i bet its not even out of the registry and not many know how to go that deep into a pc to remove stuff.

Please just make this a bit easier on us.

Disagree. Many games do not use steam cloud. If you delete documents it's likely save files and config files would go too. There's also the fact that some games are modded and mods would have to be redone.

Steam doesn't track what's in your folders other than what it installs into its designated folder.

Yup, agree with this disagree. The game itself is what creates these files outside of Steam's directories, Steam has no idea what's going on out there if a dev hasn't set it up to be able to know. If they have, it's probably because of Steam Cloud.

But the problem with it just deleting this stuff on uninstall is, it doesn't know what's in there, it could be custom mods, scripts, screenshots, settings, and most likely, saved games, which would be a colossal disaster if they were not backed up in the cloud and you wanted those back
