Where can we find information about "IP Sharing"

Hello, I saw in the last annoucement that we have a new feature

Added an option to share your IP address and attempt to establish a direct connection. The connection will still be relayed if NAT traversal fails or the relayed route is faster.

My question is where is the option, how does it work and what does it do in reality?
I just saw a "Direct connection" note in my remote play settings but nothing more.

I would like to know more about this too, especially the inbound ports.

The option is in Steam > Settings > Remote Play. It is right above the Host Options.

there's nothing there beside the text "Allow direct connection (IP sharing)". no check boxes, buttons or anything.

It's the same for me, possible that we are all two on Linux maybe?

Edit:
With today latest upgrade it's now displayed, now a bit more information about what it change and how could be nice but atleast now there is a dropdown ^^
