New Steam Library Should Have a "Sort By Install Drive" Option OR "Install Drive" Collections
I'd really like to see what drives my games are installed on in a simple, laid out way.

Right now, you have to go to each games properties individually to see what drive they are installed on. If I want to make room on my SSD, I need to dig through all my games to find which ones are installed on the SSD and not the HDD.

Dynamic collections for install drive, or sort by install drive, would be very welcome! Without any hassle, you would be able to manage which games are installed on which drives.

I literally came here to make this same post. I have a lot of games on steam and I split them between multiple hard drives. Every so often I go through and uninstall games I don't play anymore. I would sort them by "size on disk" and go through them paying attention to which drive they were installed on and uninstalling as I go.

This process is insanely tedious now that they forced this update on us. If I sort by "size on disk" there is no way to tell which games are on which disk drive. I have to click on the game, go to it's options and select local files to see where the game is installed then back out through multiple windows and do it again for the next game. 10+ years on steam does not leave one with a small library of games. This is insane. I literally can't organize my games because of this. I even tried in control panel but it does not show disk usage for games installed through steam. This is moronic.

I made a post about this for a couple months and until now, nothing!

I have 8 HDDs/SSDs and to figure out where the games are, it's a pain...

I've been saying similar things since this abomination was released.

We need the information all in the UI to manage the Libraries we have installed with it...

I don't understand why this hasn't been recognized and addressed.

You can just right click and go to properties.
It's about 3 clicks

And there's a new update
Library
Add Windows drive letter to the "Size on Disk" label shown on installed game portraits.

Yes, but I've got a TB of SSD space and a TB of spinning drive space, there are about 50 games installed on each drive, which means I have to do those same 3 clicks about a hundred times.

If someone owns 200 games and has to click 3 times to see which HDD each game is on that's 600+ clicks and a metric ♥♥♥♥ ton of wasted time compared to the option being enabled in the old library menu.

What are you talking about? I don't see any such option.

YES! It's here! It's in beta for now, so if you opt into steam beta through Steam > Settings > Account > Beta participation. Library shelves marked to "Sort by Size on Disk" display the drive letter on each game!

Awesome... Thanks for the heads up.

I won't mark this as solved yet though.

This is certainly close, we can easily see what drive each game is installed on (which is so much better than before!), but that's just sorted by size.

I want to manage my drives. I specifically want to sort by drive, or make collections by drive.
Right now I have a handful of 1gb games installed, most on S, some on C, I just want to see the ones installed on C, I don't want to have to pick them out from the whole list.

Again - at least now I don't have to click a few hundred times to figure out what letter a game is on. I know I'm being nitpicky, but I really don't feel like it's too much to ask.

List view is what is needed when you have more than a handful of games... with at least size and location in columns.

Yes, I said it again
