BUG: Black Screen

I am having an issue with his new client version. If I put the PC to sleep and come back after some time (don't know the exact time, but at least some hours) when reopening Steam no mater what menu I select (Store, Library, Community) I only get a black screen. The only one that loads is "Downloads" from the link at the bottom. I have to restart and logging into the client again to fix it.
Any one having the same issue?

Yes I'm having that same issue, sometimes I don't event have to put to sleep the pc, after playing a game and synchronizing the steam cloud, the black screen appears

yeah i am also having the same problem sometimes it is even just after closing steam to just look at a different page and having to restart steam to see anything

Great, so definitely there is a BUG there.
Probably it happened to me too after changing to a different application and then trying to going back to Steam. Just the last time was after coming back from sleep mode.

This happens when my computer is locked. And when its minimized. I come back to find the games library black. Please fix this.

I've seen this too. Glad it's not just me. I got the black screens, and then when I restarted Steam it was fixed.

It happens every single time. I just awake the PC this morning, opened Steam (minimized in the background) and cannot access any feature (messages, store, games, etc)

Same here. I have an AMD graphics card (580), if that has anything to do with it

The graphic card has nothing to do with it. The bug is on steams end and hopefully they see this and try to fix it

I have been getting that black screen as well btw, it even goes black when simply switching to another window for a while.

I have the same issue too. After today's new patch the issue is still there.

Step
Launch Steam client, open the Steam Window.
Put PC into hibernate mode
Resume PC from hibernate.

Result
Steam Client Window becomes black or has display but just no responses.

Workaround
opening the friend window will restore it without re-launch the client.

H/W and OS
NVIDIA GTX1070 driver 436.48
Windows 10 1903 64bit


EDIT:
For unknown reason it seems all good now, I have no idea why.
I will report if I have the issue back again.

Ok, I had a notification of new message here in this post. When I clicked the screen that opens is black, and the same for the rest of menus, except the DOWNLOAD at the button. YES, opening the Friends Chat window is the only way to get all the screens back without restarting the client.

Happens here as well, I presume this is because they migrated the majority of the client to web interfaces and thus it both runs like molasses and freezes randomly where before it ran well and never froze since it wasn't using web garbage as its foundation.

I am having this issue when I click the community tab of a game and use the back arrow button at the top.

It only seems to happen occasionally for me. Also, I just had this happen three times in a row when trying to start up Steam.
