High GPU usage when a game is selected
When I'm on the new 'Home' screen GPU and CPU usage is almost idle however when I select a game and it changes the screen to the new page layout (where it displays achievements and activity etc for the game my GPU usage increases to ~40% on an RX570.

And look for Library on the Left, theres a Low Bandwidth and Low Performance Mode. Not insinuating your Computer is Low Performance, but that may be an option for you to check out.

I think it may be related to achievements since games that have many achievements unlocked have a high GPU usage on their page whereas on the games that I haven't yet unlocked any GPU usage is almost idle. I also think it may be from the rare achievement glow since there's a link between high GPU usage and the amount of rare achievements unlocked.

I have also an 570 Radeon, but to me there is no change in the usage when i open the library.
It could be your memory maybe? ´cause mine are on 40% there

Thanks for the reply. I used task manager and overall utilisation is 40% when I select a game compared to pretty much 1% utilisation otherwise. 3D is what increases in task manager and memory used does increase but a very small amount. Have you tried watching task manager as you change between home and a selected game (my problem seems to be with games that have achievements and unlocked rare achievements).

@Reeonix
Had the same issue with GOG Galaxy, video card driver update fixed that for me.

Unfortunately I am on the latest drivers. When I check Radeon settings no new updates appear when I select check for updates. I'm on version 19.9.2.

Unfortunately, I'm on NVidia's camp and can't tell a bit about Radeon experience :(
Anyway, that sucks as it is.

It's a long shot, but have you tried using low performance mode?
Alternatively try to disable GPU acceleration on the "Interface" tab of the settings window.

If I disable GPU acceleration then GPU usage is almost idle but in the same scenario CPU load does increase and my Core I3 doesn't appreciate it lol. My guess is that I'm having problems with the effect around rare achievements on the game page since that's the only difference between game pages that do have a high GPU usage and a low one.

Seems like a bug to me.

If I were you, I would have tried to open a ticket for the support service.
Sadly, there's no guarantee anyone will actualy do something about it :(

Thanks for your reply Stry8993. I've enabled both and low bandwidth doesn't change anything however low performance mode has solved my problem thank you. 4aiman I did see your low performance suggestion thank you but forgot by the time I got back to my PC. It'd odd because the old UI was fine but I guess it's still in beta so I'll wait and see. The only change I've noticed is the rare achievements don't have an effect around them and it's just still. If i hover over an achievement then my GPU usage increases since the 'glowing' effect happens in the small window near the cursor. But this is still a beta so hopefully these issues get fixed but to be honest low performance mode doesn't seem too different.
