Ctrl+F can't be used for searching text on-screen.

Ctrl+F is fuctionally useless for what it's most likely to be used for, searching for text being displayed on-screen. As an example is here is a dev update that was displayed on my front page.

If I try to use ctrl+f to find something specific in it, I search my games library instead. There is a nice clickable search bar for that purpose, and while it's important to have keyboard shortcuts, when that shortcut interferes with it's more practical and expected use it causes problems.

Please make sure ctrl+f searches relevant information being displayed on the right side of the screen, not the games library. Thank you. :)

Nothing has changed for me. It still focuses the game search, and doesn't let me find anything in my active article. I didn't see any thing in the patch notes either. I'm not sure how you got it to do that.

You're right. That's quite odd. There is no good reason for it to behave in such a manner on that page. It needs to do it when articles are open, and perhaps some other areas as well, but not there. Although tbh if I have to choose from it always focusing the game search or always searching text on screen I think it's better to search text.
