Do not change the aspect ratio of game tile art ever again
Library doesn't look very good because half of all game developers haven't switched to your new aspect ratio. It is going to continue to look bad because Steam tile art is not a priority for any game developer.

On top of that, all my old custom tile artworks are now useless and my non-Steam games (close to 20% of my library) are ugly gray tiles.

Uploading my old custom tile art (460x215) to a non-Steam game fills the image over the tile, showing just the middle part blown up way too big (ugly and useless). When Steam has to show me old tile art on a Steam game, it is fitted to the tile (you see the whole image, it doesn't fill the tile vertically). Add options for user to select fit, stretch, fill, etc.

People are already hard at work making custom poster-aspect banners, luckily, but I think we should be able to switch back to Grid View-style banners.

Here is an example (2 random lines from my library) to show what I'm talking about.

Less than 50% of the Steam games have new aspect ratio images, the rest (6 out of 11) are using their old image.

Here is an example of old aspect ratio artwork added by the user (left) "filled" on the tile versus old aspect ratio artwork added by Steam (right) "fitted" on the tile.

Thanks for the link, but I'm just providing feedback on this change. I will get around to replacing my 100-ish non-Steam tiles eventually.

The beta has been out for what? Two days? There are roughly 30,000 games on Steam...these things take time.

I think the new library should support both the new "DVD Box" style art and legacy "widescreen" art. Perhaps the user could customize the tiles where it supports the new, legacy, or a properly formatted mix of the two? Instead of forcing old tiles to fit the new ones, just keep the old tiles. Thus, you could combine the grid view of the current stable release with the one in the betas.

So, think of this... The user can choose between three, possibly four options in a drop-down menu or similar.

Tall tiles. All art, regardless of actual size, are forced into DVD box style tiles. This includes the new art and the old wide art (as seen in the current beta).
Wide tiles. All content uses the old wide tiles and the old art it had before.
Mixed tiles. All art uses the new tall tiles if art that fits it is available, and the wide tiles as a fallback.
Individually chosen. As a possible fourth option, a user can customize his preference of tiles for each individual title.

Just a thought.

I second this thought - some games are simply unlikely to ever get a tall banner, so being able to use their Grid-style banner as a fallback would be invaluable until you can find a replacement.

Is there a way to change these Images?

Because a lot of them look like this

Ugly and pixelated random images.
This is a HUGE issue and I'm honestly shocked more people aren't complaining about it! It's unacceptable how those of us with lots of artwork for lots of non-steam games now have to look at our icons all blown up, zoomed in and out of proportion. I'm not going through the trouble of re-sizing 70+ custom artwork pics just to fit the steam library properly!! Fix this ASAP valve! Let us go back to the original steam grid library view!

Too bad for you then.

They can't, since it's not up to them. Game devs and publishers are supposed to update them.

I updated around 3000 covers on my own - even created many myself.
I also don't want to do the EVER again. It sucked.
I BIG thank you goes to the community (steamgriddb!) and more than NO THANKS goes to Valve who take all the money.

While I appreciate the gesture and recommendation, no offense but they don't any artwork for ANY of the games I play, which is mostly old retro racing games. For example,

Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5
Initial D 7
OutRun 2
Daytona 2
Night Driver for Atari 2600
Grand Prix for the Atari 2600
Lotus Espirit Challenge for the Amiga
Virtua Racing
Scud Race
F-Zero GX
GTI Crub

....you get the picture.

That's just one site, there are tons of sites on the internet that have 600x900 PNG grid images.

library with missing cover art is not something user have to fix on their end. it's nice to have site to fetch covers but I'd like to see Valve fixing their store and their covers. I don't want to waste a single minute on managing my covers because this is the product and cover is like a wrapping paper for your grocery. You're not walking out of the grocery store with a carrot in your mouth and dozen of potatoes in both hands while wearing salad on your shoulders and trying not to break eggs on your head. You're getting a paper bag and that's what cover art for a digital product. If Valve steals my covers with UI update they should put it back.
