Allow Dynamic Collections to have OR filters not just AND
Unlike apparently the whole planet, I love this new library, particularly shelves/collections. My only complaint so far is with dynamic collections which when you check boxes treat everything as a big old AND filter. I would like to have a dynamic collection for all my survival games, anything tagged as "survival", "survival horror" etc etc. But if i check all of those options it filters the list down to just things tagged with them all and I cant figure out how to make it include all games with either tag.

Presumably, you mean in an algebraic way – that would definitely be useful, such that you could say “RPG & (Action | Puzzle)”. That said, I'd settle for chaining several instances of the filter selection part of the filter box together such that you end up with (all in box 1) or (all in box 2) or (all in box 3) etc. – “(RPG & Action) | (RPG & Puzzle)”.

Also, being able to require that a given tag is NOT present.

I don't trust store tags to organize my library - according to store tags, Lego Marvel Avengers is an Online Co-Op game. :steamfacepalm:

Yes… but the existing ‘genre’ tags are insufficient. Some store tags could do with being ‘promoted’ to that list or to a new list of ‘sub-genre’ tags – over to you, Valve…

I would second this call for Boolean operators in defining Dynamic Collections.

I suppose separating "store tags" and "community tags" would be a fix - prioritizing tags set by the developers as what the game is sorted by, instead of having your Dynamic Collection suddenly screwed up because someone went through the store marking random games as Action RPGs.

The downside is that some older games would slip through the cracks, and it'd be a hassle on the devs' part for our own convenience.
