how do i find random streamers?

is it possible to watch streams of people not on my list? if so how do i go about this? say dayz for example is there a way on steam i can search for game and choose from a list of streamers? or can i only view friends who are playing the game i want to watch?

You can only watch them if they have opened it for every one to see the stream.


To find random stuff, for a game you want to check out, goto the games hub and click on Broadcasts. Here is the hub for dayZ.

Is there a general broadcasts page, where I can see for instance, all the games currently broadcasting, no of viewers, no of streamers, streams by viewer number, etc? You know, like twitch does:

Yes there is a page to view all "current" broadcasts. Go to Community -> Home -> NEW Broadcast.
"Current" between diaeresis because when scrolling down in search of something you like, broadcasters might've stopped broadcasting. Also there are serverproblems (and i guess bgandwith-problems from individual casters) so you'll see a lot of "waiting for broadcaster".
