Cache and Cookies folders
Hello all,

with the latest beta update, Valve has moved the cache and cookies folders from the Config folder inside Steam Installation to a location that i can't find, someone knows where they moved them?

It is now located in the local portion of the AppData part of your user, a typical path to that would be:
c:\Users\<your OS username>\AppData\Local\Steam\htmlcache

I reup the thread for a question, will there be possible to change the cache path? because i don't have so much space in C: disk (SSD) and i would like to restore the old destination.

Hey alfred ! i would further like to ask you if i backup the cache and cookies from the folder and after reinstalling windows (complete wipe of my hard disk) i restore the folder to the same directory, will that prevent the 7 day trade / market lock ?

Steam Client browser authorization stored in other files, not in cookies/cache folders

yes, it works with normal browser, but if you want to prevent lock in client, than you need to backup config, userdata folders & ssfn* files (there are two ssfn* files, one hidden, you need to backup both) of your client

Normally it should work with just ssfn files being backup (mainly the hidden one), but for sure you could backup config & userdata and then copy them if just ssfn not help.

Tried backing up my whole steam folder in C:\Program Files\Steam* and i am sure it had a ssfn* file but still i had to wait 7 days lock
