[BUG] [UI] - Icon Grouping in Taskbar Not Working for Pinned Steam Icon

OS Windows 10 64 bit - 1709

* Steam is pinned to my task bar
* Task bar is set to "Combine taskbar buttons" - > "Always, hide labels"

Old behavior:

1) Click steam icon on task bar
2) steam launches and icons are grouped over pinned icon

New behavior

1) Click steam icon on task bar
2) Steam launches and groups chat and library view, but not on top of the existing steam pinned icon


[FIX]
- Unpin steam icon
- Repin

Issue is resolved

I'm having the same problem on Win7Pro64 after the new chat update came out. This sucks

Same here on Windows 10. Chrome still stacks so it's not a Windows update that broke it or anything

Unpinning and repinning makes them stack again.

I've noticed it too. Happened immediately after the steam chat update. Kinda annoying.

Unpinning and repinning the icon fixes this problem. It seems to be an issue with legacy pins but doesn't impact nee ones

Repinning it didn't work for me, this is was the first thing I tried after the new update. I also have my shortcut launch options set to -nofriendsui and -nochatui to disable the new chat as the new Overlay uses too much RAM. Also done through regedit for startup options, could this be a cause?

Same here. I also tried to reinstall steam but that also didn't fix the problem.

Check your default steam opening tab, if it is set to "My Library" It should work
