Do steam gift cards expire?

I literally just now scraped off the thing hiding the code and when I put it in It just never accepted it. I tried it with and without the -s and tried with and without caps but it just will never accept it.

It took me a while to decide to put it in my steam walled, so is it possible that it expired?
