Report a translation problem
You have to do that after going to Settings > Controller Configuration > and enable the controller configuration for your controller (PS4, generic, Xbox 360, Xbox One...).

After exiting big picture mode, you should now have the ability to right click/edit your xbox controller settings for each game listed on your regular steam client.

Doesn't seem to work here, still no option for it.

My 360 controller works in big picture, but no games as far as I can tell. Then my PS4 controller does not work at ALL..
Very weird. They both worked in windows, but I would like to escape windows 100% as it is gross. :O

For some controllers Steam needs to be able to send USB output reports and set/get feature reports which requires having udev rule for the device.
