How do I find my Steam folder?
I can't find it in Program Files x86 or just Program Files. Please help me fix this.

Right mouse click the shortcut that you launch Steam with -> Properties -> under the [Shortcut] -tab: Open File Location

It just brings me too steam. I'm trying to download a skin and there doesn't seem to be a way. It's an uppercase S in steam.

Never helped.

I'm trying to access Files, not the app.

If you use a 64-bit OS, then by default Steam goes under,
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam

If you use a 32-bit OS; then by default Steam goes under,
C:\Program Files\Steam

You really should know where you've installed it on your own computer.

Steam shortcut's [Open File Location] should get you there.

Alternatively, with a game you've installed on Steam on the same disk, right mouse clicking: [Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files] and going a few folders backwards should get you there too.

skins are installed under
-- Steam\skins\

Yeah, which I did understand. The button literally says "Open File Location"

Maybe it's windows 10. But opening the file will just bring me to the library.

And no one has been talking about opening the file.

There's a button there called [Open File Location]

You can check where it says the "Start in" as well.

I said RIGHT MOUSE CLICK the shortcut and choose PROPERTIES.
Then go under the SHORTCUT tab.

I can't do it. But thanks anyway.

I really don't see how you can't do it, because the path is literally written in the shortcut's properties menu, but if you want to leave it that abstract, then I can't help you.

I can't find it in either file.

It just brings me to the file that opens up the steam library. No files or folders where I want to go.

It's like you're not even looking at the images.

Check the shortcut's properties, and they have the info where your Steam is installed. The shortcuts couldn't work if they didn't know where Steam is installed.

It's not rocket science.

As a question:

If I delete steam and redownload it, should everything be where it should be? (Like in program files etc.)?

ANd if I did, would I still have all game progress and data?

If you uninstall Steam and there's games installed in the same folder; then those will be uninstalled.

Hold [CTRL+SHIFT+ESC], right mouse click any Steam process -> [Open File Location]

There's so many ways to get there.

I have it in This PC > Downloads > New Folder. What now?
Tev Jun 3, 2017 @ 1:35pm
If "it" is your Steam -folder.

Then your original question has been answered.

It's just the app. It doesn't bring me to my folders. It should bring me to STeam > steamapps common > etc.

But it doesn't bring me to the right one. I've accessed the actual one before but can't find it again.
