High DPI support totally broken now
EDIT: Seems to be working with the recent Steam update. Original bug report below.

ISSUE
The Steam UI used to scale when "Scale text and icons to match your monitor settings" was enabled. Now this no longer works and the font is basically illegible on high DPI displays.

OS
Linux

STEPS
NOTE: This may require a 4K monitor or higher res to reproduce the problem.
  1. Go to Steam -> Settings
  2. Select "Interface" on the left
  3. Toggle "Scale text and icons to match monitor settings (requires restart)"
  4. Steam will ask to restart; do so.

RESULTS
Regardless of the settings the GUI does not scale!

EXPECTED
The GUI to scale up on a 4K monitor.

Probably Linux issue.
Scaling works really good on Windows (11), better than it ever worked before.

Why is it so hard to just give us a % slider...Window size is whatever it is, let us scale the damn interface. Add me to the list of now steam being tiny on my screen.
Latest Linux Mint btw. System set to 200% scale.

Can confirm both the scaling option not working (was the case since the new UI was released in the beta channel) and also that the "-forcedesktopscaling 2" option works.
