So a guy added me. He was rude and mad at me for some reason. He talked to me for few minutes, then removed me from my friends list. He still kept sending messages, even though steam showed he was offline and not on my friends list. I was going to block him, but I had to go, so I shut down my PC. While it was shutting down I saw xx is writing a message, but didn't worry about it.
After coming back, I have 2 new messages notification. Clicking on it gives me a chat window, with no avatar and [Unknown] as the name, and status offline. Clicking on the nonexistent avatar opens his Steam profile, so it's a message from him that I can't read because he's not on my friends list anymore. Clicking on it didn't clear the message, neither did rebooting or restarting steam.
Thanks anyways :)
THANK YOU!
THANKS ALOT <3
Anyone know why this occurs? I woke up this morning to 5 different [unknown]s and I haven't added any new friends recently. My first guess is that it's a message from a phishing account that then got banned, but how did they message me in the first place?
