Try opting out via your general browser. Please report back if this workaround also helps with this problem.

what?

sorry, idk you're talking about...

let's leave this open to those who are actually 'in the know' shall we?

this needs a fix, not a workaround.
Yeah, but the DEVteam can not fix anything if you yourself don't give more detail.
Please read & follow instructions given in the sticky
How to report a bug.
What's your Steambuild? And what are your computer specifications? And what are the steps you've taken?

In the meanwhile this workaround is used for about a month now for simular problems. Hence the question : does it work for your kind of trouble too?
Log in to Steam via IE, Chrome, Firefox, Opera or whatever browser you use and try from there.

cheesus cripes, you're such a nerd...

you know that dropdown in the groups tab where you could choose to "Leave this group"?

well it will not let me leave --- my group list doesn't show canyon capers anymore but i'm obviously still there...

and no, i will not add anymore groups to try and replicate this problem.

In the 10 years you use Steam, did you never see anyone answering posts or what?

yes but most of them know what i'm talking about unlike you (you're just guessing) and your workaround does not apply to me at all.

so please...

bugger off.
I am not guessing i offered a solution that has worked before. I did not say it's a defect in your browser i wrote that doing this via your browser can be a solution, be it for you personally and not yet a fix for all of us Steam users.

You did not write "please" before, anyone can read that here. And writing that word together with "Bugger off" doesn't exactly work. Especially not for me having survived my first RL gunfight when i was 8, 40 years ago, and training with the militairy since i was 9. I don't back off ever.

But since you feel you own this thread, i'll leave you in your missery.

/me salutes

let's have a virtual cup of coffee like i would with clients from the projects for homeless, addicts and psychiatrical patients 15 min. after a fight. It's important to have a closure. Locking ourselves up in the office like most professionals do, only makes matters worse.

yeah ok.

and i'm sorry for my rottweiler mode, bro --- i just got too annoyed by the glitch.:blech:
