Steam Client Window Not Properly Saving Position
I keep my Steam Client window set to the right half of my monitor. I do this by dragging the top bar and putting my mouse in the top right corner where Windows then resizes it so that the window is perfectly sized to fit in exactly half the desktop space, then I click the top middle of the bar to resize vertically and it then fills the vertical space. Effectively this makes the Steam Client window take up exactly half my monitor's desktop space.

If I close the window and then go to re-open the Steam Client, the window will revert to the same position it was when I first launched Steam and I have to do the whole process over again.

If I leave the window open and then exit Steam completely, when I relaunch the program then it will properly restore the correct (well, 1 pixel is off vertically on the bottom of the window) size and positioning.

This started happening some time ago and it is extremely annoying, especially when I turn my DisplayPort monitor off while leaving my PC idle. This is because when my monitor turns off, the graphics card in essence doesn't see the monitor anymore and the invisible desktop draws down to 800x600. When this happens, the Steam Client window will resize to a squished 800x600 box in the top left corner of the desktop and this becomes the new saved size and position until I rescale and reposition the window then fully exit and relaunch Steam.

OS: Windows 11 23H2
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7950x3D
GPU: Nvidia RTX 4090, 566.14

Bumping this. Is no one really seeing this problem? It's driving me nuts. My Steam client window doesn't save the last location after closing it. Only when I exit the application while the window is open does it save and it's still glitchy.
it's a bit late, but hopefully, it helps someone else who's having trouble with Steam not remembering the window position.
This worked for me, so it might fix the issue for you too.

1. Close Steam.
2. Navigate to the following folder: `C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam`.
3. Delete the "package" folder.
