Community Layouts seem to cause Issues

TL;DR - Don't download community layouts for your controller/Steam Deck as it causes a lot of issues that makes you have to restart the client to fix.

While in Big Picture Mode or on Steam Deck, If you try to apply a community controller lay out it will download but not apply. When you check the "My Templates" tab it shows the layout as "Incompatible". If you try to delete the layout, it was disappear but so will everything in the "Recommended", "Templates" and, 'Community Layout" tabs.

This also causes other issues such as, getting a "Cloud Error" notification when quitting a game sometimes resulting in data lost, Menus not appearing but still making a sound (i.e. pressing the Steam button to access the main menu.) and losing half to all controller support.

Performing a restart fixes all of these issues. But if you go into the controller layout again you'll still see the "incompatible" layout, that you tried to delete, in the "My Templates" tab. As long as you don't attempt to delete it again the issues mentioned won't appear.

For context: My PC client was in Big Picture Mode and my Steam Deck was in Game Mode.
I tried different layouts across both and it still happens. This also seems to only happen if you download a Community Layout. Switching between the layouts in the "Recommended" or "Layouts created by Valve" tab does not trigger any issues.

+1 experienced that as well, very dissapointed as it's an amazing feature and i'd love to be able to copy/paste the same exact controls to all the games i emulate from the same exact console
