PS5 DualSense Edge Controller Shutdown Time Not Working

ISSUE
PS5 DualSense Edge Controller shutdown timer not working when set up.

OS
Windows 10

STEPS
Switch to Steam Beta Client
Connect DualSense Edge controller to Steam via Bluetooth
Turn on Controller
Navigate to: Steam > Settings > Controller > General Controller Settings
Set Shutdown timer to 10 minutes
Wait 10 minutes

RESULTS
Controller does not shutoff by itself

EXPECTED
Controller should shutdown itself when idle for a set amount of time.

This function has not worked since the Steam Beta Client started supporting the DualSense Edge controller.

Same issue occurring to me in both Ubuntu 22.04 and Nobara 37

It seems still not fixed now in 2025 lol, PS button + triangle cannot shut it down either. I'm running Bazzite OS and it's connected by Bluetooth.
