Steam overlay with an Xbox controller

Right now, i'm using the Xbox controller's guide button to open the Xbox game bar. I like to check for Xbox achievements and online friends.

But I'd like to also find a way to remap the Xbox controller in order to be able to open Steam overlay to check Steam achievements and other things

Do you people know if there is a way? I can't find anything on that subject. Thanks!

As far as I know, for Windows Game Bar and Steam Overlay, both use the Guide button and that can't be changed. The keyboard shortcuts for both can be adjusted, so perhaps you can do a Steam Chord binding with a weird button combination with the Guide button to do the Game Bar's keyboard shortcut. It would be cool if the Steam Overlay function can be an output in the configurator, but that's sadly not the case, at least without getting Steam Link involved.

You can't have both cakes at the same time, pick one and compromise on the other.

Yeah, when Game bar is enabled the Guide button is completely hidden from Steam by the OS. We can't use it to chord or get any combo of Guide button + other button to make Game Bar + steam overlay to work together.

Oh well that's a shame. I don't understand why it's possible to remap on a keyboard but not on a controller
