Can't change beta participation setting...

Every time i change to "steam beta update", i press OK and check again to see it resets to the default "none...". How is this even an issue, it's such a basic setting, how did valve ♥♥♥♥ up the code for it so badly it always reverts to default? is anyone ever able to select steam beta update?

they also ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the code in the Dota 2 Reborn client needing that setting that doesn't work to download custom game-modes.

i'm having issues with this also please fix this asap, I even restarted steam as requested I went back in to check that the changes had taken effect only find that they had reverted back to none which is really not what I want at all guys.

I am glad this is not just my computer doing it, it has stopped allowing me using friends gaming library aswell. Is this just a temp issue or is there something you need to do?
