Can't close pop-up windows in steam community

ISSUE
When browsing steam community, when clicking on a link and a pop-up window opens, clicking the X won't close the window and I have to reload the community and start from scratch just to look at another post and/or art work just to have to reload and do it again for the next post.

OS
Windows 10

STEPS
Select community
select a game or category
click a post
try to close pop-up window for said post

RESULTS
pop-up window wont close and I cant click anything behind it in hopes it closes

EXPECTED
the window should close

I restarted steam with no change.
Works as expected on the website.

Edit: not using steam beta, issue still since client patch today.

Edit: Aug 19, confirmed issue is fixed. Thanks everyone for helping!

Happens on

• Community -> Home -> any item, be it official announcement or user-provided content ;
  
• Library -> Games -> [game] -> Community Hub -> any item, be it official announcement or user-provided content.

Mouse-pointer does change into a hand as if i could use the closing X, only that X doesn't work.

I rebooted my computer after installing latest Steam Client Bèta.

Happens on both standard and beta; doesn't happen on Mozilla Firefox.

Any idea if it happens on Google Chrome as I don't have that installed?

Tried logged in; logged out differences and that's not relevant.

"item showcase"and "items Up for trade" *Select an item to feature on your profile

Same thing for me. Windows 10, when I'm looking a screenshot in Activity, I can't close it.
