Steam crashes on MacBook Pro M4. Happens when trying to click on drop down menus.

Issue first spotted when trying to select date of birth for age verification prompt when selecting a game to view on the Steam Store. Unable to click on any of the date drop down fields. Specifically was attempting to look at Baldur's Gate 3. Though noticed that the same issue occurs with other drop downs as well.

My system:
- MacBook Pro M4, only 3 days old
- New install of steam
- 24G memory

Attempted fixes:
- Clear cache
- Restarted system
- Turned off "Enabled GPU rendering in web views"
- Reinstalled steam

No joy and this means I cannot go into any games that have a drop down prompt for age verification. Somewhat sucks that I cannot even purchase Baldur's Gate 3 unless I use another system with steam to do it or through Chrome.

This happened to me too, with an M2 2022, new macbook air as well. Same game, too. Turned off "Enabled GPU rendering in web views" as well.

Edit: Now I am not presented with that menu for Baldur's Gate, after deselecting "Enable smooth scrolling in web views"

Double edit: I opened a different store page, was presented with a DOB check, and the problem still there trying to open the drop down menu.

Same here on Macbook Pro M1. Same thing.

Found the same problem on Reddit. Work around found was to use the Steam app on phone to see things and buy the game, however, I don't want to do that yet.

Same here on Macbook Pro M4. Macos 15.1.1, steam version: 1731433018
The entire page just forze and anything related to steam just not reponse.
