Steam will lock up and stop responding at the screenshot manager.
So I deleted the Steam downloads cache plus web browser cache.
Steam top left>settings.
I nolonger use the View Screnshots instead in the library highlight a game then open my Manage my x amount of screenshots wait for it to populate no problems ever now.
The view screenshots seems to be working ok these days.
Where do you see > click on NEW Recordings & Screenshots "
Profile videos is where mine are. Screenshots as well.
I have the settings set to where it will just constantly record and save up to 120 minutes of gameplay. I can see, when I go into my library, there is gameplay that was recorded for Team Fortress 2 from my last play session that I do not want to lose. I want to go through it and save the clips. But I can't get to the footage right now.
So to stop it from overwriting I've just stopped playing anything on Steam.
I really hope this gets fixed so I can just play whatever I want without that risk of losing anything. Like there's a new kind of bot outpost in Helldivers 2 that I want to check out and play, but I'm just waiting for this fix :\
I managed to fix it by deleting my screenshots, the screenshots.vdf file, and the gamerecordings.pb file. However, if you have the time, you can also simply cut and paste the screenshot folders to somewhere else (or onto a thumb drive). The screenshots you uploaded to Steam for your profile will still be available to see on your profile.
