Basically, the person whose profile you're viewing has it set up so that their profile is private/only visible to friends. for some reason, this causes the "NaN" bug when trying to switch pages in their comments. I've tested this with several different accounts in my friendslist and each one that had their profile set to be visible to friends only had the same issue.
I havent asked anyone else if they experience this with ppl on their friendslist, so test this out on the profiles you are experiencing the bug on;
-go to profile
-right click, select "copy page url"
-go to any browser that u dont have ur steam account logged in on
-paste and go
If the browser shows their profile private, then they have it set up to only be visible to friends, which confirms what I believe is the issue. I just tested this with a friend a few minutes ago, they had their profile on public, i could switch through their comments no problem, then i asked them to switch it to be visible to friends only, and the "NaN" bug appeared when I tried again.
Hope this helps you guys, and hopefully steam can fix this.
Is there any way to bring this bug to valve's attention? Apparently this is the only place that we are able to talk about/"report" bugs on steam, but I wonder if valve employees read these bug reports? Kind of seems more like a place for client reports and troubleshooting to me.
thank u wak
Does anybody know if Steam is aware of this issue and if we have a chance of getting the problem solved?
