[Resolved] The onscreen keyboard is not opening on the May 3. 2024 update
The May 3, 2024 update has broken the onscreen keyboard completely for me. The onscreen keyboard is not opening when I click the left stick on the steam controller.

Linux Mint 21.3, Kernel Version: 6.5.0-28-generic
i7-11700K
RX 6950 XT, Mesa 24.0.6 - kisak-mesa PPA
32GB DDR4 @3200
2TB WD nvme SSD

Edit: went back to the stable client and the onscreen keyboard works, except for the initial location bug.

Same problem on Steam deck in desktop mode. But on top of that, all controls are disabled. Buttons, sticks, trackpads, triggers. Only the cursor on the touch screen functions after trying to enable the on-screen keyboard. If you move the cursor to another window in which there was no attempt to enable the on-screen keyboard, the controls work again. However, if you return to the window in which you tried to launch the keyboard, the controls are turned off again. I am writing this message after rolling back Steam to the stable version.

Same here. But no can't roll back to stable cos I'm on family sharing beta. :(
may want to add your comments to the linux steam client github as well ... https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/10849
Same here
I updated to main mode and then put the system in stable and it worked with the Steam beta client.
the issue was in Steam Version: 1714778942, I just opted back into the beta and the current Steam Version: 1714854927 is working, aside from the initial location bug.
