Steam broke its visuals with Win11 "high contrast" theme

Steam broke with update between yesterday, and the day before (on Live rather than Beta)

The problem is, they decided (like some others) to mix a dark and (user selected) light theme with no way to disable it.

have you figured out how to keep high contrast but revert the steam clients theme back to its original state? Ive opted back out of the beta, tried clearing cache but nothing is working. Give me a reply so I get notified if you find a fix, cant find any on google.

I'm not on Beta lol. I'm stuck here. it looks awful

So it's bo!!ocksed then....I use night/black themes (reduced blue light and Night Sky in Accessibility - Contrast Themes setting) as I can't handle the glare from the overly bright standard windows theme.
With this stupid update Steam is now bloody awful with many bits not even visible and hovering to get the mini-window is now transparent making it ricokulously difficult to read.
It does go back to its original look if you return theme to standard/normal, but obviously people like me/us do not want this!!

Steam - get rid of this update please. We've been happy with it for donkey's yonks (ages/forever), don't fix what wasn't broken. It's actually putting me off searching for new games - directly hitting your bottom line. If we don't look/can't read, we won't buy!

Windoze 10 home here, same problem. (Am not in Steam Beta!)

Steam randomly starts with just the main browser and possible daughter window in high contrast mode, or everything, including friend list in chats.

Give me an option to turn this nonsense off.
