I keep receiving this notification from the game Cookie Clicker, and when I try to play it, the game crashes.

I was playing Cookie Clicker from my friend's library, and he opened another game. Steam sent me a notification: "This shared game is already in use and will close in 5 minutes." After that, my friend invited me to a family group, and I accepted. However, I cannot play Cookie Clicker anymore without the game crashing, and the "This shared game is already in use and will close in 71582788 minutes" won't stop appearing on my screen.".

Have you tried leaving the family, deleting steam completely, installing it again and returning to the family, maybe it will solve the problem.

It did work for the notification! idk about the game crashing tho cuz while i was trying to figure out a fix for this i deleted it

mine actually fixed itself after being removed from the family and rejoining

I have the same issue. Did everything but still got the same problem. No solution for me yet.
