Windows 11 KB5034204 has broken Steam chards / overlay invocation from gamepad's guide button on desktop and in Big Picture
Using the current Steam beta, Windows 11 23H2.

It seems that Steam can't capture the "guide" button press on an Xbox (Series in my case) controller after installing KB5034204 update. The position of the toggle in Settings / Gaming / Game Bar doesn't change anything. Guide button press always opens Game Bar now.

This leads to Steam Input being essentially disabled everywhere now, inability to open Steam overlay, inability to take screenshots or do anything besides the standard Windows gamepad functionality.

Can anyone else confirm the issue? Seems like a big one.

There are reports that uninstalling the KB5034204 update works as a workaround for now. Haven't tried it myself.

Disabling Steam Input globally sounds like a feature to me :P

Yeah, I'm not 100% sure that it gets disabled since I can't invoke the overlay to test it. But it looks this way at least.

Edit: I've done some tests and Steam Input + chords seem to be working (some of them at least). So the problem is that Game Bar is opening all the time now when you press guide button.
