Steam Controller Loses Functionality in Task Manager etc.
ISSUE
The steam controller is Disabled when accessing task manager, access Nvidia Geforce Experience, when a game crashes to desktop, so i cant do anything about it, other than plugging in a keyboard or mouse, or pressing the power button

OS
Windows 10 64-Bit

Result
The steam controller loses complete functionality unless the program closes or loses focus.

EXPECTED
The steam controller should enable "Lizard Mode" if it loses control of the mouse.

You can temporarly solve this by running Steam Client as administrator; until Valve fixes this issue.

I recently got a Steam Controller and am having this exact issue where lizard mode isn't kicking in. Lizard mode DOES work when I boot the PC and use my SC to navigate my login screen, but when I'm actually in my account and steam is running, I'm not getting lizard mode if I open Riva Tuner, task manager, etc, anything that causes the normal functionality of the controller to cease.

Has this really still not been fixed in over a year and a half or am I just doing something wrong?

Also on Windows 10 x64 here.

I responded to your other thread in the Steam Controller Bug Reports forum so please switch over to that thread.

To anyone who sees this in the future from a Google search,
The issue isn't an issue. It's to prevent scammers, spammers, fraudsters, etc. from accessing your PC remotely and doing whatever they want with it. That means the "issue" is actually a preventative measure - a security measure, if you will.

My advice is to never run anything as an administrator by request from anyone - only from yourself and those who are close to you. Don't even do it for customer service representatives or anyone who works in the customer service industry.
