ISSUE

Linux gsm can't install Left 4 dead 2 server.

Debian 9

STEPS
./l4d2server install

RESULTS
Waiting for user info...FAILED. Timed out.

I read it is related to linux kernel network connection problem.
I can't update linux kernel, bacause I will brake my environment and special extensions I rely on.

I run into the same problem but for Valheim server on Ubuntu. For anyone who might find this problem in google, this command: "sudo ip link set dev eth0 mtu 1450" solved my issue
