Steam overlay keeps popping up, even when disabled.
When i play Skyrim, steam overlay keeps popping up, even when i has the overlay turn off! FIX IT!

Try turning it on then off again (assuming the toggle is telling you that it's off). I had this problem too and that's what ultimately fixed it for me.

I think I have / had a similiar issue. the steam overlay kept opening up and closing on its own every 3 seconds which prevented me from playing. only a PC restart seems to have solved it for now. Reporting here just in case anyway and if it happens again will update

I'm having this same problem with Green Hell, and not only is the "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game" *not* enabled, it's actually greyed out so I don't have the ability to turn it on.

i am having the same problem, and its also with skyrim. i have the steam overlay disabled from main client, and it still is able to be accidentally toggled in game. i have a very heavily modded skyrim and lot of hotkey combinations along with constantly releasing and holding run, its very easy to accidentally trigger the overlay pop up. i have tried removing the hotkey for steam overlay but theres no option i can find to do so, just change the key that its set to. i dont want it set to ANY key. im beginning to think steam may have a bug with skyrim since this is also same game we're both having same issue with. does steam even read their community posts tho?
