SteamVR fails to initialize - error code 109

ISSUE
The communication between the Steam Client fails to initialize SteamVR

OS
Windows 11

STEPS
Open Steam (opted into the newest beta update for the client)
Open library or boot VR from top-right (error occurs from any boot of the Index that I have)

RESULTS
Error Code 109 - SteamVR has failed to initialize.

EXPECTED
SteamVR should initialize.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I opted out of the Steam Client beta via Steam settings and reattempted booting SteamVR, and it successfully initialized. The error is local to the newest update to the Steam Client beta.

i have windows 10 and still the issues with and without the beta any ideas?

Wish I could tell you mate, this was an old issue that Valve fixed :/

its probebly the cable like always ^^' just hoping now it will work with the new cable

my cable might also be at the end of life then. often i'll get into vr just fine, but i'll see artefacting (looks like bright purple and green flakes) that gets worse/better when i jiggle the cable, and more often than not if i get the artefacting the vr will soon fail completely, no sound or video, even tho the game still runs on my monitor and vr-mirror. i've had my index for about 5 years now. might be time to ugprade

Yeah only salution sadly buying a new cable but over time really exspencice!
