Steam consistently crashes shortly after starting

Since this morning Steam crashes every time I try to start it, right as the 'new releases / store ad' window pops up.

Yesterday I had Steam also crash when I was downloading a game, but that seemed to happen only when I had the Library view open so I was able to circumvent it by quickly closing the main window as it was loading right after starting Steam.

Neither the webhelper.txt or cef_log.txt seem particularly specific as to the cause of the crash https://i.imgur.com/wBwIQcl.png, is there another log I could check? I can provide the crash dumps too on request.

I can't seem to get around the new crash though so I might have to revert out of the beta to fix this.

1 Dude, remove the quotes(or add spaces) - no one will bother with opening a picture if you make it difficult to open it
2 logs must either be placed on pastebin and attach as link or placed in the body of the message with [code][/code] - no one will look at your pinched screenshot with micro letters

Steam's fault for parsing the link incorrectly and the logs I posted don't appear too useful anyway in terms of identifying the crash anyway. That's why I'm asking for extra places to check or steps to take.

Have a similar issue just that closing the 'new releases / store ad' window crashes it for me. Steam would open up a new process then and after 4 steam processes being there, the 4 others closed and steam started up normally.

I have the same bug as you do but I sometimes see a steamwebhelper not responding error, I can help you with this bug

Had the same issue. Crashing shortly after client start up but otherwise can't pin down a specific event that triggers it. Reverted back to non-beta for now.
