Basically I have my second drive mounted over /data (where I don't have the permissions to write as a user) and inside is a folder with my username that is symlinked in my home directory with permissions for me to write into. Inside this directory there is a “Steam” folder that has been created a long time ago that contains all my games.
Then today I realised that none of my games appears to be installed. I thus checked the storage part of the settings and the drive doesn't appear there.
I hence performed the same steps as the author, however I got a blank selection window and the error appears in the setting window as per the following screenshots:
- The empty selection window: https://img.epheme.re/steam/blank_selection.png
- Add a new steam library folder: https://img.epheme.re/steam/contentmanagement_error_.png
I preferably don't want to mess with my folder hierarchy or the permission at a drive-level if possible, I know that I can just move my steam folder in /data and wait for the sync to be done thanks to the index file at the root of the directory.
Empty browser and "#ContentManagement_Error_"
