UI Error and steam webhelper crash Windows 10
The main steam interface displaces downward and displays an error.
Something went wrong while displaying this content. Refresh Error Reference: Shared SteamUI_813287_9daf4491b6a68bb3 Cannot read property 'top' of Undefined

This happens when opening steam from the system tray icon on windows 10,
The issue seems to stem from two key actions. however the repeatability of this is at times inconsistent.
  1. Key factor 1 Have a top anchored taskbar on windows 10 (may effect windows 11 as well but I am unable to test)
  2. Key Factor 2 Open an exclusive full-screen (possibly related to format changing as well, HDR vs non-HDR, different resolution than the monitor, etc.)
  3. Click the steam system tray icon located in the right hand corner.
  4. steam will open after a brief delay with error code located at the top of the window and a steam webhelper has crashed window will pop up asking you to restart steam, along with a host of other options such as turning off hardware acceleration, or disabling browser sand-boxing.

Additional system info
Windows 10 Pro, Version 10.0.19045 Processor i9 12900k RAM 48GB Nvidia RTX 3080, Driver 536.23

I believe this is all of the information that would be relevant. If anything else is required please let me know so I am able to provide it. *edit a small typo.

I'm seeing the same thing happen. I can't repro this if the taskbar is anchored to the bottom, left, or right of the screen. This only happens with a top anchored taskbar.

Good to know I am not the only one, I figured not many people use a top taskbar on windows. So with the UI element ID and two users confirming it is top anchored taskbar related it should be much easier to identify the issue on valve's end. Thanks for the reply.

I am experiencing the same problem. Windows 10 and the start bar at the top of the screen.

I have the exact same issue, happens every time I restart the PC. It does seem to go away when I close off steam completely and re-open it again.
