It's a workaround, not a fix. Valve shoul fix and optimized their stuff, but "modern" Valve (yes, the same who was obsessed with releasing only polished products) don't care about it anymore.
Yes, it's a design fault unfortunately. There is no fix to it.
Steam Settings > Interface > Enable GPU accelerated rendering in web views
You can also mess with GPU blocklist steam settings as well as window's enable hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling, but this is the setting that finally did it for me and I never see it mentioned anywhere else.
Thank you f0r posting this solution. I had tried everything else in this thread, but nothing worked. This fixed my problem entirely!
Thank you!
How do you know it's a design fault?
I'm playing in 4K (via an NVIDIA custom resolution) and I've got an RTX 3080 / 5900X.
I've tried the solutions in this topic, but unfortunately they don't solve anything. By default, all options were checked.
When I'm in the game, I have no worries about slowdown, in 4K60. But when I open the Big Picture, it slows down (the noise seems OK, but to go from one menu to another, it slows down, as if I had 15 fps).
If someone could give me a tip, I'm beginning to despair.... When I see that next to it, the PS5 has a menu that works perfectly for consulting trophies and all, it pisses me off!
Thank you 👊🏼
