Since the update it's not possible to update or install games on my external SSD.
Until the update since years I have never encountered an issue with installing/updating and playing games from my external drives.
Installing a game on my internal harddrive works without any problems. But from there it's not possible to move the game from the internal hard drive to the external hard drive.
Always the same message "not enough" space. At the moment there are 60GB free space on the external hard drive and even little 500MB Games are not installable.
This is a huge bug and problem!
A lot of Mac Users, I think, do not have enough internal space, especially on mobile devices. Please fix this!
I have two external devices to store games, an HDD and an SD card, both formatted to FAT32. Any time when attempting to install a game, it will complain about the disk not having enough space, for example Sleeping Dogs on the HDD which needs 16, while the drive has 200 GB available or Muse Dash where it only needs 2GB when the SD has 96GB available.

Very frustrating as this has been going on for several days already.
Hopefully a hotfix will be in place in the coming days.
"Not enough disk space available to update..."
So I've had this issue for a while and haven't found any way of fixing it online no matter how many methods I try. I am trying to install my games to my hard drive but in doing so it tells me there isn't enough disk space (I have over 1TB of free storage space currently). I have tried clearing my downloads cache, deleting my downloads folder and just about any solution I have found on these forums. Nothing works. Any ideas? I am using a MacBook Pro 13-inch, M1, 2020. I didn't have this issue until a couple of days ago. Any help is much appreciated.
Until now there is no solution. We all think, that this is a bug due to the last update

HI there - thank you for waiting.
Our developers have identified some bugs around this and are planning on shipping a fix this week. It will be shipped to the Steam public beta - so I would recommend opting into that, so you can get this fix asap.
